Product Details

Sea buckthorn is a quick-growing deciduous shrub that does very well in coastal sites. It is often grown as game cover and is an attractive and striking shrub with its silvery foliage and set against its bright orange berries. It should not be planted near fragile dune environments as it can become very invasive in this habitat, but is ideal to add winter colour in the garden. Its berries are highly nutritious and, though they cannot be consumed raw, they can be made into jellies or marmalades.
