Product Details

Receiving its common name after its use as timber for the Native American Tepee, and its scientific name from the contortions sometimes seen in the new buds, the Lodgepole pine is commonly used as a Christmas tree species on account of its high needle retention and strong scent. Grows well in exposed maritime conditions and cold upland environments. Very tough and resilient pine, growing naturally through the Rocky Mountains and Pacific coast regions.
